Terms of Use

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Welcome to the website of the Planned Giving Round Table of Northern Nevada (“PGNV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using www.pgnv.org (the “Website”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, please do not use the Website.

OUR WEBSITE

The Website is provided to share information about PGNV, our organization, membership, educational programs, events, sponsorship opportunities, charitable activities, and other activities and resources.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on the Website accurate and current. However, information on the Website is provided for general informational and educational purposes and may change from time to time. PGNV does not guarantee that the information on the Website is complete, accurate, current, or free from errors or omissions.

PGNV reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Website or its content at any time without notice.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION

Information provided through the Website, including information concerning charitable giving, estate planning, tax matters, financial planning, trusts, investments, retirement accounts, and related subjects, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

PGNV does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, financial, estate-planning, or other professional advice through the Website. Nothing contained on the Website is intended to create an attorney-client, accountant-client, financial-adviser-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and PGNV.

You should consult your own qualified attorney, tax professional, financial adviser, accountant, or other professional before making decisions based upon information obtained through the Website.

MEMBERSHIP

PGNV may offer membership opportunities through the Website. Membership dues, benefits, eligibility requirements, renewal terms, and other membership information will be provided during the applicable membership process.

Membership dues are not necessarily fully deductible as charitable contributions. The tax treatment of membership dues depends on applicable federal and state law and the benefits provided to the member. Members are responsible for determining the appropriate tax treatment of their membership payments and should consult their tax adviser.

PGNV reserves the right to modify membership programs, benefits, fees, and requirements from time to time.

DONATIONS

PGNV may accept charitable donations through the Website. Donations are used to support PGNV's charitable and organizational purposes.

PGNV will provide appropriate acknowledgments for charitable contributions as required by applicable law. A donor's tax deduction, if any, is subject to applicable federal and state law. PGNV does not provide tax advice or guarantee that a particular contribution will be deductible.

If a payment includes goods or services provided in exchange for the payment, the amount that may be deductible as a charitable contribution may be reduced or eliminated. Donors should consult their tax adviser regarding the tax treatment of their contribution.

EVENT SPONSORSHIPS

PGNV may offer sponsorship opportunities in connection with its events and programs. Sponsorship payments may provide benefits such as recognition of a sponsor's name or logo, event participation, promotional opportunities, or other benefits described in the applicable sponsorship materials.

A sponsorship payment is not necessarily a charitable contribution and is not necessarily fully tax-deductible. The tax treatment of a sponsorship payment depends upon the nature of the payment and the benefits provided in return.

PGNV will provide any tax disclosures or acknowledgments required by applicable law.

EVENT REGISTRATION

PGNV may offer registration for educational programs, meetings, conferences, webinars, and other events through the Website or through third-party registration services.

Event dates, times, locations, speakers, programs, and other details are subject to change. PGNV reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or modify an event when circumstances require.

Any cancellation or refund provisions applicable to a particular event will be communicated as part of the registration process or in the applicable event information.

PAYMENTS

Payments made through or in connection with the Website may include charitable donations, membership dues, event registrations, and event sponsorships.

Payment transactions may be processed by third-party payment processors. PGNV does not intend to collect or store complete credit-card information on its own Website servers when payment processing is handled by a third-party provider.

By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Unless otherwise stated in connection with a particular transaction, charitable donations are generally nonrefundable once processed, except where required by law or determined appropriate by PGNV.

Membership dues, event registrations, and sponsorship payments are subject to any refund or cancellation terms communicated at the time of purchase or registration.

PGNV reserves the right to correct or refund transactions made in error or to address fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Website and its contents, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, documents, designs, and other materials, are owned by PGNV or are used with permission and may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You may access and use Website content for personal, noncommercial, informational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, license, or commercially exploit substantial portions of Website content without the prior written permission of PGNV or the applicable rights holder.

The PGNV name, logos, and other identifying marks may not be used in a manner that suggests an unauthorized endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or partnership.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

The Website may contain links to third-party websites and may use third-party services for membership, event registration, payment processing, communications, forms, webinars, social media, or other purposes.

PGNV does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security, availability, or terms of third-party websites and services. Your use of a third-party website or service may be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

A link to a third-party website does not constitute an endorsement by PGNV unless expressly stated.

USER INFORMATION AND SUBMISSIONS

If you submit information through the Website, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.

You should not submit confidential, privileged, or highly sensitive personal information through ordinary Website forms or unsecured email unless PGNV specifically requests that information through an appropriate secure process.

Information submitted through the Website is handled in accordance with the PGNV Privacy Policy.

PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Website or interfere with another person's use of the Website.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or its systems, introduce malicious software or code, circumvent security measures, impersonate another person or organization, or use automated methods to collect information in a manner that violates applicable law or interferes with Website operations.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Website and its contents are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

PGNV makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Website or its content, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or noninfringement, except where such warranties cannot legally be excluded.

PGNV does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PGNV and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, members, agents, speakers, presenters, sponsors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Website or information obtained through the Website.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PGNV's total liability arising from or relating to the Website or these Terms of Use will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to PGNV in connection with the transaction giving rise to the claim during the twelve months preceding the claim or $100.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

PRIVACY

PGNV's collection, use, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

PGNV may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the revised Terms of Use on the Website and update the date shown at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use to the extent permitted by law.

We may also collect information automatically when you visit the Website, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, referring website, pages viewed, and other technical information. We may collect this information through cookies, tracking pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies.

We limit the collection and use of personal information to what we reasonably need to administer our operations, provide services, communicate with you, process transactions, maintain our records, improve our Website, protect the security of our systems, and comply with applicable law.

Except as otherwise indicated, PGNV may use personal information to respond to inquiries; administer membership; process donations, sponsorships, and event registrations; communicate with members, donors, sponsors, and event participants; provide information about PGNV programs and activities; maintain organizational and financial records; improve our Website and services; protect the security and integrity of the Website; and comply with legal obligations.

DONATIONS, MEMBERSHIP AND SPONSORSHIPS

When you make a donation, pay membership dues, or make an event sponsorship payment, we may collect information necessary to process and administer the transaction.

This may include your name, contact information, transaction amount, transaction date, payment status, and other information necessary to maintain appropriate financial and organizational records.

Online payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. When a third-party payment provider processes your transaction, your payment information is collected and processed according to that provider's privacy practices. PGNV does not intend to collect or store complete credit-card numbers or security codes on its own Website servers when those transactions are handled by a third-party payment processor.

PGNV may retain information about donations, memberships, sponsorships, and other transactions as reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, legal, reporting, recordkeeping, and organizational purposes.

EVENT REGISTRATION

When you register for a PGNV event, we may collect your name, organization, contact information, registration information, payment information, attendance information, and other information you provide in connection with the event.

PGNV may use third-party platforms to process event registrations, payments, webinars, video conferences, surveys, or other event-related activities. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies governing their collection and use of information.

FORMS

If you complete a contact form, membership form, event-registration form, sponsorship form, donation form, or other form on the Website, we may collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, organization, and other information contained in your submission.

We use information submitted through our forms for the purpose for which it was provided, including responding to inquiries, processing requests, administering programs and events, communicating with you, and maintaining appropriate organizational records.

INFORMATION SHARING

PGNV does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

We may share personal information with companies and individuals that provide services to PGNV, such as Website hosting, payment processing, event registration, membership administration, email communications, cloud storage, information technology, cybersecurity, accounting, analytics, and other administrative services.

We may also share information when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, cooperate with governmental authorities, protect the rights or property of PGNV or others, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect against actual or threatened harm.

PGNV may share limited information with event speakers, sponsors, professional organizations, accrediting organizations, co-hosts, or program partners when reasonably necessary to administer an event or program and when appropriate to the circumstances.

If PGNV participates in a merger, reorganization, restructuring, transfer of assets, or similar organizational transaction, personal information may be transferred as reasonably necessary in connection with that transaction, subject to applicable law.

DONOR AND MEMBER INFORMATION

PGNV respects the privacy of its donors and members. We do not sell donor or member names or contact information as a commercial mailing list.

PGNV may use donor and member information for legitimate organizational purposes, including maintaining records, communicating with donors and members, providing acknowledgments, administering memberships, inviting participation in events and programs, and communicating information about PGNV activities.

If you receive electronic communications from PGNV and no longer wish to receive non-essential communications, you may use the “unsubscribe” link provided in the communication or contact us at [email protected].

Please note that opting out of promotional or informational communications does not necessarily prevent us from sending transactional or administrative communications, such as event confirmations, membership notices, donation acknowledgments, or other communications necessary to administer a transaction or relationship.
